Personal Trainer in Carmel City Center

Looking for a personal trainer in Carmel who takes your injury history as seriously as your goals? I’m Grant Denney, an NCSF-certified personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. I coach one-on-one at FlexWerk Fitness in Carmel City Center, a private studio right off the Monon, and in clients’ homes across Carmel.

The studio: FlexWerk Fitness, Carmel City Center

885 Monon Green Blvd, Suite 120, Carmel, IN 46032. FlexWerk is a private training studio, not a big-box gym. There are no crowds, no waiting for a rack, no one filming next to you. When you train with me, the space and the equipment are yours for the hour: racks, barbells, dumbbells, cables, machines, everything a real program needs. It sits in Carmel City Center, steps from the Monon Trail and the Palladium, so it’s an easy stop before work, at lunch, or on the way home.

From the Arts & Design District it’s a couple of minutes down the Monon. From the Village of WestClay and West Carmel, about ten minutes east on 116th or 131st. From Home Place and the south side, straight up Rangeline or the Monon. Sessions start as early as 5 am, Monday through Friday.

Or I come to you

Plenty of Carmel clients train at home: a basement, a garage, a living room. I bring portable equipment, and if you already have a rack or dumbbells gathering dust, we’ll put them to work. In-home training is a good fit for parents with young kids, people with packed schedules, and anyone who just doesn’t want to drive. I cover all of Carmel plus Westfield, Fishers, Noblesville, Zionsville and Indianapolis.

Who I work with in Carmel

Everyday adults, not athletes. Professionals who’ve spent years at a desk and want to feel strong again. Women who want to build muscle and feel at home in the weight room. Women over 40 whose old approach stopped working. Men who want to lose the gut and keep their strength. Adults over 60 who want to stay mobile and independent. People losing weight, including on GLP-1 medications, who want to keep their muscle. And a lot of people training around knees, backs and shoulders, because that’s my own story and it’s most of what I do.

What Carmel clients say

Throughout that time I’ve become more confident with my form, my strength and my presence in the gym. I know that each session with Grant will include guidance with how I need to adjust my form, education to help me understand why, and plenty of hype to remind me of how strong I am and can be!

Kayli

Having shied away from the free weight side of the gym for years, one of my biggest accomplishments was feeling like I belonged in the free weight area as my confidence, strength and my own understanding grew.

Hope

I am in my 80s and have worked with Grant for over three years. I have not fallen in three years, and I am able to bend down, pick things up and work in my yard. I had not been able to get down on the floor for 10 years since my knee surgeries. I am now able to get up and down without a problem.

What your program looks like

  1. Free consultation. A conversation about your goals, injury history and schedule. No sales pitch. You leave with a clear plan whether or not we work together.
  2. Assessment and a program built for you. Progressive strength training on the big movements, scaled to your body, with joint stability and mobility built into every session.
  3. Nutrition that fits your life. Protein targets and food guidance in the app, adjusted as you go. How I coach nutrition.
  4. Everything tracked. Your workouts, weights and progress live in the Ultimate You Fitness app. I see what you log and adjust before the next session.

Questions Carmel clients ask

Do I need a FlexWerk membership to train with you?

No. There are no gym memberships or facility fees. You train with me, and the studio time is part of that.

What does personal training cost in Carmel?

It depends on how often we train and whether it’s at the studio, at your home or online. We go over the options at the free consultation. Most clients train two or three times a week.

I’m a complete beginner. Is that okay?

It’s most of who I work with. Nobody is watching, nobody is judging, and every exercise starts at the version your body can do today. Read what to expect from your first session.

Or call/text 765-571-1514. Training hours Monday–Friday, 5 am–6 pm. Also serving Indianapolis, Westfield, Fishers, Noblesville, Zionsville and Pendleton.
